Q: Do I need business insurance in Florida?

Some of it is legally required and some of it is just good sense. Workers compensation is mandated for many Florida employers depending on your industry and headcount, commercial auto is required once the business owns vehicles, and general liability is usually required by your landlord or your clients rather than by the state.
