It depends on the truck’s weight and where it goes. Florida sets liability minimums by gross vehicle weight: $50,000 per occurrence from 26,000 to under 35,000 pounds, $100,000 from 35,000 to under 44,000 pounds, and $300,000 at 44,000 pounds or more. Trucks that fall under federal DOT rules have to meet the federal minimums instead, which are higher.
Those are legal minimums, not a plan. Our Florida commercial truck insurance guide covers the rest of what a trucking business needs, or call (786) 441-8985 for a quote.
